(In my opinion) if what you produce is going to be any good, you have to let whatever it is that you’re writing about into your heart. And then….. then you have to write from that place, which basically means that every story you write has a little piece of your soul stuck to it.

Every time I push a story out into the world — no matter what or who it’s about, no matter if it’s a full-scale book or a 500-word story for a .com, no matter if it’s on my website or in a print magazine — I always feel a bit woozy.

Writing is scary. And I LOVE IT.
